Detached Dwelling, Cornwall

Our client was tired with the collection of small, dark rooms that had no direct access to the garden. In a last attempt to bring back their love for the house they bought before they had children they approached us for creative ideas but within the budget of what it would cost them to move to a bigger house in terms of solicitor fees, removal costs and stamp duty. The final solution was to create a large modern extension across the rear of the property which now provides a new family room. This incorporates some of the original smaller rooms but also provides flexibility in that the other rooms can link with the main space. The new room also has direct links with the rear private garden and the whole space has rejuvenated the family and their social life.
